Sunday, March 12, 2015 (St. Louis) –Gateway Motorsports Park’s 2015 E.T. Championship Opening Weekend concluded on Sunday with an incredible day of racing action that saw Muncie, Indiana racer Jeremy York score the victory in VP Racing Fuels Super Pro. On Saturday, Jeremy’s brother Jesse took down 112 cars to win the class, on Sunday Jeremy completed the family sweep against 85 other competitors.   In the final, York’s .012 reaction time and 4.646 at 147.71 defeated Tony Virgilio’s .008 reaction time 4.579 at 152.28 for the $1,250 win.

The Jeg’s Super Quick season kick-off event had Dave Angelly from Carrier Mills, Illinois earning his first ever series winner. Angelly defeated Ft. Wayne, Indiana driver Tony Pranger. Local driver Dan Phelps, of Labadie, Missouri, was the number one qualifier of the 86 drivers who tried to earn a spot on the 64 car ladder.

Dan Smith of Affton, Missouri earned $1,000 by defeating Rob Fisher of Humbolt, Illinois in the Pro final. Fisher came back in the final round of Sportsman where he fell to race winner Seteve Zeuner of Imperial, Missouri.

Wesley Wells took the win in Pro Motorcycle, Scott Leonard won in Index Motorcycle and Randy Drake won in Street Trophy.

Logan Back of New Carlisle, Ohio won the Jr. Dragster Lightning class against Clayton, McGinnis of Independence. Kaleb Thomas of Hermann, Missouri defeated Paige Teel in Jr. Thunder and Allysia Vaultonburg earned the Jr. Dragster consolation race win.

The next race for Gateway Motorsports Park brackets and Jr. Dragsters will be this Saturday, April 18.
