Wide-Open Wednesday Presented By AAA Insurance is GMP’s official mid-week family-friendly racing experience. A total of 20 event nights are on tap for the season including 12 combo dates featuring the GMP High School Drag Racing Program.
Wide Open Wednesday provides hardcore racers with the opportunity to test their vehicles on a race-prepped quarter-mile track and also provides casual car enthusiasts the opportunity to try out their hobby car or street rod in race conditions. Each Wide Open Wednesday features food and drink specials, including $2 hot dogs and $2 beer.
5 p.m. — Gates open.
5:30 p.m. — Tech inspection; concession stands open (until 9:30 p.m.).
6 p.m. — Open testing runs begin (continue until 10:30 p.m.).
6:30 p.m. — High School racers meeting.
7 p.m. — High School time trials begin – racing on 25-minute rotations until completed.
9:30 p.m. – Last call for concession stands; Tech closes.
10 p.m. — Last call to staging lanes.
10:15 p.m. — Back of staging lanes closes.
10:30 p.m. — Conclude racing.
11 p.m. — Pits cleared, gates secured.

Please note: Wide Open Wednesday events are not held on the weeks that GMP will be hosting major or mid-Major events. Please verify schedule before traveling to track.
Upon entering Gateway Motorsports Park, please turn left and proceed to the north end of facility to enter venue. Do not turn left toward guard shack unless signs direct you otherwise.
All participants and fans will pay at the drive-up booths upon entry. Racers, crewmembers and suite holders needing restricted-area access will sign in at the waiver exchange booth before being allowed to access any restricted areas. You must have a restricted-area wristband before entering any restricted areas.

Tech card (car and driver): $30.
Adult: $15 (includes pitside parking).
Students 15 and under: Free.
High School racers: Free with 2018 membership; $30 per race without membership.
