TICKET OPERATIONS MANAGER

This is a full-time, year around role at Gateway Motorsports Park.  We are looking for a candidate with drive and ambition to continue to grow our events.  This position will report to the Director of Events.

We are looking for a Ticket Operations Manager with strong organizational and customer service skills

Duties:

  • Primary staff member responsible for communicating with ticketing agency, Metrotix
  • Manage part-time/event ticketing staff
  • Develop and manage all staff requirements
  • Coordinate with Metrotix on all point of sale locations
  • Proactively develop and implement alternatives to increase revenue, enhance customer satisfaction and/or eliminate recurring concerns
  • Assist in creating ticket centric promotions
  • Works closely with Event team to determine ticket pricing and needs for events and communicating that information to ticket agency
  • Assists with scheduling ticket eblasts and reminder emails to patrons
  • Organize and send out event renewal notices
  • Oversee and handle distribution of tickets to patrons
  • Troubleshoot Ticket Order issues
  • Assists with printing, mailing, walk up/phone orders and other functions necessary for completion of ticket orders
  • Manages the weekly ticket reports
  • Orders blank ticket stock, parking passes, wristbands and other necessary ticket related supplies
  • Work with marketing staff on sponsor obligations/fulfillment
  • Complete comprehension of the MetroTix ticketing system
  • Responsible for coordinating set up of all ticketing equipment at events, making sure internet is working, and booths are set up and ready for each event.
  • Liaison to MetroTix support team to inquire about updates and needs regarding the ticketing system
  • Answers inquiries and interacts with staff on upcoming events
  • Works with all staff on communicating event specific details
  • Assist all staff with any ticket issues as they arise
  • Recruit, supervise and manage event ticket sales staff
  • Responsible for maintaining and organizing ticket equipment and supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Candidate:

  • 2-3 years of Ticket Sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Box office management a plus
  • Superior customer service qualities
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Proactive
  • Outgoing
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, experience with a ticketing system or Paciolan is a plus
  • History of willingness to work in a team environment and in an event, high volume setting
  • Hours may include evenings, weekends and holidays

 

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, stoop, talk or hear, and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to and more than 30 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
