Gateway Motorsports Park is proud to welcome The Band Steele (www.thebandsteele.com) to Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Drivin’ For Linemen 200. The band will perform from 2:20-4:30 p.m. on the Busch Music Stage on the midway.

The Band Steele is made up of high school friends, Bo Steele and Ben Rubino. They began playing music together at age 14 in Winston County, Alabama.

Bo and Ben achieved a tremendous amount of Internet attention, when a video of Bo singing in a hospital waiting room went viral. It has reached millions of views and is still garnering incredibly inspiring positive comments daily. The pair had their television debut on WHNT-TV News 19 in Huntsville, Alabama where they had become local celebrities. They were also featured on the “Rick and Bubba Show”, a nationally syndicated radio talk show, where their music was aired and chosen as “keep it”, a radio success!

The duo caught the ear of industry executives including independent record label Fire River Records, who signed them to a multi-album record deal.

Additionally, the label secured Bo Steele a role in a motion picture, “Life on the Line,” starring John Travolta, Kate Bosworth and Sharon Stone. This fantastic opportunity allowed him to perform an original song from their new album in the movie, which was released on November 18, 2016.

The band’s involvement in the movie Life on the Line, inspired them to record a song honoring linemen and their families, called “The Lineman.” The song and video have received much acclaim and support internationally.

June of 2016 brought more success as The Band Steele was asked to perform two shows at the NASCAR Drivin’ For Linemen 200 Race, where Bo Steele was featured singing the National Anthem live on Fox Sports 1. This performance was nationally televised.

On September 16th, 2016, “Tan Lines & Moonshine,” their debut country EP was officially released featuring the debut single “Tan Lines.” (MUSIC VIDEO LINK) Currently, “Tan Lines” is climbing the country charts and has been featured on several best new country music radio shows.

2017 has seen a huge spike in social media following and The Band Steele has been invited to perform at notable music festivals, where they will be taking the stage with the top artists in both country and rock music. In February, the duo was awarded a prestigious sponsorship from the legendary D’Angelico Guitar Company.

These two young and talented musicians don’t believe in barriers between genres of music, and their songs are proof of that. With awesome hard rocking guitars and music, combined with heartfelt country lyrics and unforgettable hooks, this duo is a modern force to be reckoned with.

Few singers have the gift of a voice that is incomparable and uniquely recognizable, and Bo Steele is one of them. He has garnered much acclaim and thousands of fans who are unbelievably moved by his incredible vocals. His songwriting rivals his vocal ability, as he and Ben Rubino dig deeply to create each of their original songs with meaningful lyrics and phenomenal music.
