May 10, 2017 – Ronnie Beach III of Troy, Illinois won the final round of High School eliminations tonight at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois. Beach, driving a 1969 GTO, defeated fellow Troy resident Alex Cygna, 12.071 sec./100.81 mph to 14.895 sec./90.57 mph. Beach posted a .087 reaction time to Cygna’s .221.
The next event at Gateway Motorsports Park is the fourth annual St. Louis Nostalgia Rendezvous, scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
