MADISON, Illinois (September 23) – School will in session again this weekend during the fourth annual NHRA AAA Insurance Midwest Nationals at Gateway Motorsports Park near St. Louis. Nitro professor and the voice of NHRA, Alan Reinhart, along with NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Funny Car driver Robert Hight, will “teach” NHRA Nitro School on the AAA Stage on the manufacturers’ midway on Friday, September 25 at 1 p.m. and Saturday, September 26 at noon.

NHRA fans of all ages are encouraged to join and learn all about NHRA drag racing. The duo will explain to fans the basics of drag racing, including the purpose of a burnout, what it means to stage and how the Christmas Tree starting line system works and much more. Be sure to be on time and ready to ask plenty of questions!

The NHRA AAA Midwest Insurance Nationals is an NHRA Countdown to the Championship event and is critical to drivers and riders chasing the 2015 title. Pro classes will include Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle. The St. Louis event is the next-to-last race on the 2015 NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series schedule.
