(July 27) Danny Ratulowski of Highland, Illinois, won tonight’s High School class finale over Trey Knight of Auxvasse, Missouri. Ratulowski is the perennial favorite in the High School class while tonight marked Knight’s first visit to the final round of eliminations.

Ratulowski’s 2001 Camaro ran 13.174 seconds at 104.90 mph. Knight’s 2015 Mustang “red lit” (fouled) on the starting line, handing the win to Ratulowski.

FRIDAY, JULY 29

4 p.m. — Gates open.

5:30 p.m. — Tech inspection, fuel sales begin (fuel sales conclude at 7:30 p.m.).

6 p.m. — Open Test ‘n’ Tune, concession stands open.

6:30 p.m. — First time trials for High School, Jr. Dragster, Street E.T. Motorcycle; Resume Test ‘n’ Tune.

7:30 p.m. — Second time trials for High School, Jr. Dragster, Street E.T. Motorcycle; Resume Test ‘n’ Tune.

8:15 p.m. — High School eliminations begin, followed by Jr. Dragster and Street E.T. Motorcycle eliminations.

9:30 p.m. — Bracket Gambler (open to anyone who purchases Test ‘n’ Tune tech card, $20).

10 p.m. — Credential sales conclude. No haulers may enter until Saturday morning.

10:30 p.m. — Back of staging lanes closed, Test ‘n’ Tune concludes, complete eliminations.

11 p.m. — Track closed.

Restricted-area crew wristband: $15.

8 a.m. — Gates and pit parking open, racer registration.

9:30 a.m. — Tech inspection.

10:30 a.m. — First round of time trials for Jr. Dragster, Trophy.

11 a.m. — Second round of time trials for Jr. Dragster, Trophy.

11:30 a.m. — First rounds of Jr. Dragster and Trophy eliminations.

 

Noon

National anthem, followed by time trials for Pro, Super Pro, Super Pro Motorcycle, Sportsman.

Jr. Dragster and Trophy eliminations.

Second round of time trials for all bracket classes.

Quarter-mile Bonus eliminations begin following second round (see below).

 

6 p.m. — Grudge drag racer gates open for Street Driven Shootout.

7 p.m. — Street Driven tech inspection.

7:30 p.m. — Staging lanes open for Street Driven Shootout.

7:45-9:30 p.m. — Street Driven drags (end time will be adjusted for car count).

Jr. Dragster Thunder or Lightning – points, $30 entry.

Jr. Dragster Rookie – non-points, $30 entry.

Quarter-mile Bonus race — $60 entry.

Drag race crew passes — $15.

Rear-wheel Drive Bracket — .5 Full Tree. 1/4-mile. Dial-in class bracket race.
