“Read to the Finish Line” was designed to encourage literacy by providing and exciting race-themed incentive for elementary-age students.  This six-week program is intended to run during the Spring semester of a school year. Students who complete the program are awarded single day complimentary entry for themselves and as well as a complimentary single day entry for one accompanying adult to the Super Chevy Weekend presented by your Mid-America Chevy Dealers.  Additional prizes and incentives are given throughout the program as well as during the event at Gateway.

“Read to the Finish Line” rewards AT HOME reading by elementary age students. Educators have recommended the program set additional, yet reasonable reading goals for students.  All students are asked to read (or be read to) for a total of six hours over the six week period of the program.

Of course, students can continue reading past the pre-set requirements in order to secure a position as the top reader of their school and be eligible for additional prizes. The two top readers in each school – one from K-2 and one from 3-6 – are publicly recognized during the 2014 Super Chevy Show.
