A free fanfest and driver autograph session on Thursday, September 22 at Ballpark Village in St. Louis will kick off the fifth annual AAA Insurnace NHRA Midwest Nationals (#AAAMidwestNats) September 23-25 at Gateway Motorsports Park.

The NHRA fanfest will run from 6-7:30 p.m. and will feature NHRA drivers and riders from the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, show cars, musical entertainment by the Rat Rod Kings (www.RatRodKings.com) and prize drawings.

Among the many NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series drivers and riders who have agreed to participate are:  John Force, Del Worsham, Leah Pritchett, Kebin Kinsley, Terry McMillen, Clay Millican, Matt Hagan, Tim Wilkerson, John Hale, Allen Johnson, Cory Reed, Matt and Angie Smith and Hector Arana Sr.

Many race cars and motorcycles will be on display at the fanfest, including Kebin Kinsley’s Road Rage Fuel Booster Top Fuel Dragster and legendary monster truck Bigfoot.

Ballpark Village is located next to Busch Stadium on Clark Street in downtown St. Louis and is just five minutes away from GMP’s Dragplex.

Tickets now are on sale for the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals at GMP. The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series national event annually delivers the biggest names in professional drag racing, including four-time GMP winner Antron Brown (who is gunning for his fifth consecutive trip to Mello Yello victory lane), defending Pro Stock champion Erica Enders and 16-time Funny Car champion John Force. Qualifying will take place on Friday and Saturday with eliminations on Sunday. The St. Louis event is the second race of the 2016 Countdown to the Championship. Kids 12 and under are free.
