NOTE: Any vehicle entering the gates will require a tech card.
Mark your calendars because we are less than four weeks away from opening the track at Gateway for the first event of the year.  On Friday March 15, we will open the gates for the Driftingest, Drag Racingest, Partyingest night of the year – MIDNIGHT MADNESS!  We’ve change the helmet rule to allow racers with cars slower than 13.99 to run without a helmet.
The party starts at 8:00 PM and runs strong until 2:00 AM, but get here early because the opening event is always huge!

    What is needed to run a yamaha R1 motorcycle. should run in the 9 sec. range . thanks for any help

      Extracted from the NHRA rule book:

      HELMET

      Full-face Snell M2005, M2010, K2005, SA2000, SA2005, SA2010, SFI 31.2A, or 41.2A helmet mandatory; shield mandatory (goggles prohibited). See General Regulations 10:7.

      PROTECTIVE CLOTHING

      Full all-leathers or SFI Spec 40.1/2 suit mandatory on motorcycles running 120 mph or faster. Two-piece suits must be joined together with a metal 360-degree zipper at the waist. SFI Spec 40.1/1 or 40.1/2 suit or leather jacket, leather boots/shoes above the ankle, and leather gloves are mandatory on ALL motorcycles. Gloves must be Kevlar-lined or equipped with slide buttons. See General Regulations 10:10.

    Are you able to bring coolers with your own drinks?

      Based on feedback that we received from the IL Liquor Control Guidelines, we are unable to allow guests to bring in alcohol including beer into the park. You may however bring a 6-Pack Sized Cooler.

      When you come through the gate you will be directed to registration to acquire your tech card

      The only time you need to buy a tech card is if you race OR if you park in the pits. (This only applies for Midnight Madness).

      If you get here before 10 you are guaranteed 2 passes if you get here after we can’t guarantee a number.

      $25 for Racers / $25 for Drifters. You only need a tech card if you are racing or drifting or parking in the pits.

      No. $25 is a flat fee. When you are a racer you simply pay $25 and you are GIVEN a tech card.

      No but if you park in the pits as a spectator you need to have a tech card / $25
