Oct. 12, 2017 — The Verizon IndyCar Series released its 2018 schedule this afternoon.
Gateway Motorsports Park’s second annual Bommarito Automotive Group 500 Verizon IndyCar Series race is scheduled for Saturday, August 25, 2018. The race is in its second year of a multi-year agreement with INDYCAR. The 2018 edition of the INDYCAR race at GMP will start one hour earlier (7 p.m. CDT). Coors Light Pole Night qualifying is slated for August 24, 2018.
“The 2018 edition of our Bommarito Automotive Group 500 presented by Valvoline will be bigger and better, with more entertainment for our fans,” said GMP Executive Vice President and General Manager Chris Blair.
For the 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series event, GMP has planned:
- A large display and exhibitions of vintage Indy cars in conjunction with the Vintage Indy Registry.
- More pre-event and post-race live entertainment.
- Expanded parking and more roadways entering and exiting the parking areas.
- Expanded concession stands on the midway and in the infield.
Ticket renewals began on October 16. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, November 13. Renewal tickets may be secured with only a $10 down payment as part of GMP’s fan-friendly payment plan. Anyone purchasing tickets as a gift before December 15 will receive a special holiday card to present to the recipient. In addition, pre-holiday buyers also will receive a free Coors Light Pole Night ticket and a special event gift from Gateway Motorsports Park.
Anyone purchasing INDYCAR tickets before August 11, 2018 will receive special advance pricing, a free Coors Light Pole Night ticket and will be registered for prize drawings that include exclusive event day experiences.
Ticket renewals for the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race (June 23) and 2018 AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals (September 28-29-30) also will begin on Monday, October 16.
